Frequently asked questions
Why do I enter the Conversion rate by hand?
The Tool runs entirely in your browser with no price feed. When neither side of the Currency pair is your Account currency — EUR/GBP on a USD account, or any pair on a THB account — it needs the Account-currency value of one unit of the Quote currency, taken at Entry, and you supply it.
Why is my Position size rounded down, and what is the shortfall?
Brokers accept whole multiples of the Lot step (0.01, 0.1, or 1 lot). Rounding down keeps the loss at the Stop at or under your Risk budget; the result shows the real loss at the rounded size so any gap below the Risk budget is visible. A Risk budget too small for one Lot step is reported as a failure, not a zero-Lot trade.
Does Leverage change my risk?
No. Your Risk budget and the Stop distance in Pips set the Position size. Leverage only divides the Notional to set the Margin the broker locks; the loss at the Stop is the same at 30× as at 500×.
How are JPY pairs different?
A Pip is 0.01 for a pair quoted in JPY (USD/JPY, EUR/JPY, and the other JPY crosses) and 0.0001 for every other pair. The Tool picks the Pip size from the pair, so a 50-pip Stop means 0.50 on USD/JPY and 0.0050 on EUR/USD.
